Pastor Gary Maxwell and his wife, Vicki have served at St Paul's since 2005. They have 4 children: Skylar, Kaitlyn, Andrew, and Rebekah.
Pastor Gary served as our Youth and Family Ministries Director until 2024. Pastor Gary was installed as our senior Pastor in 2025. Pastor Gary's messages are simple, biblical, practical sermons for you to apply to your daily life.
Pastor Gary has a heart for serving, and his favorite verse is Isaiah 6:8, "I heard the voice of the Lord saying 'Who will go for us? And whom shall I send?' And I said, 'Here am I, Lord, send me."
Cindy Lustfeldt has been a member of St. Paul's her whole life. She currently resides in Gifford with her husband Larry and son Matthew.
Cindy has been with the preschool since it's beginning in 2005. In 2015, she took over as Director/Head Teacher.
Cindy loves working in her yard and gardens, spending time with family and friends and can be seen at all times of the day walking around town.
Andrew Maxwell grew up in St Paul's, where he went to Sunday School and was confirmed.
Andrew graduated from the Free Lutheran Bible College in 2026 and serves as our Youth and Visitation Director.
Andrew and his wife Erika live in the parsonage and love serving the congregation at St Paul's.
Andrew's favorite verse is Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you."
Megan Park was born and raised in Rantoul and now resides in rural Penfield with her husband, Justin. Together they are blessed with 4 children: Jordan, Joshua, Andrew & Gracie and an amazing grandson: Sage.
Megan has a seasoned background in social services and case management and loves the opportunity to help others. She has been at St. Paul's since February of 2026 and thoroughly enjoys working with Pastor Gary, Andrew, the entire staff of St. Paul's and the church congregation. Megan is honored to be a part of St. Paul's church family and her ultimate hope when she is working in the church office is to make everyone that walks through the doors or calls on the phone feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
Outside of the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and family, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, spending time outside, catching sunsets & eating sweet treats!
Mitch Schluter has been at lifelong member of St. Paul's and grew up on a farm outside Gifford. He currently lives in rural Urbana with his wife Peg and son Cam. Mitch and Peg have two other sons (Brent and Aaron) both living and working in the Champaign/Urbana area as CPA’s.
Mitch has been the Church Treasurer since January 2022. He worked in public accounting as a CPA for over 30 years and retired in the fall of 2021. In addition to the church Treasurer position, Mitch provides tax and consulting services for family and friends and currently serves on the St. Joseph-Ogden high school board and one other local nonprofit board as Treasurer.
His favorite activities are traveling with his wife and family, attending St. Louis Cardinal games, watching his kids play in various sporting activities, and golfing.
The Bible has many verses about money and finances. One of his favorites is: ”In everything I showed you that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35.
