Beliefs and Mission

"We believe that God's Word is at the center and Jesus Christ is Lord!"

The Bible alone is our final authority. We also hold to the summary of Christian teaching in the Apostles' Creed - along with the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

 St. Paul's Mission Statement

By God’s grace the mission of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is:

To EXALT Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior:

And there is salvation in no one else for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

…and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   Philippians 2:11

To EQUIP Believers for ministry:

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.   Ephesians 4:11-12

To EVANGELIZE the unsaved:

For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.  Luke 19:10

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  John 3:16

To ENCOURAGE missionary endeavors throughout the world:

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.   Matthew 28:19-20
